Esther in Hong Kong Disneyland | Day 2

On the second day of Hong Kong trip, the main highlight of the day would be the Hong Kong Disneyland (香港迪士尼乐园) at Lantau Island. I could barely hide my excitement for Disneyland that I deliberately chose a pastel pink outfit in order to match with the dreamy atmosphere here~

Before we began our tour in Disneyland, we headed to a star-studded restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui called the Crab General HeeKee (喜記蟹將軍) for lunch. As we took the long escalator up to 6th floor of iSquare, we were told that this restaurant is often patronized by local Hong Kong celebrities. As the name suggests, the most popular dish from the restaurant is the Typhoon Shelter style crab (避風塘炒蟹), a dish that is commonly known among the Hong Kong people and believed to have originated from typhoon shelters. I am in love with the dish toppings but unsure what the ingredients are. The brown minced toppings were darn crispy and crunchy. They made me keep scooping for more XD

After lunch, it's time for Disneyland!

It was the 5th year since HK Disneyland opened

Sleeping Beauty Castle

The Sleeping Beauty Castle is the spot where there will be spectacular fireworks at the end of each day. So if you are planning to visit Disneyland anytime soon, do remember to stay until the end and watch the fireworks. Announcements will be made before the show starts.

There were only 4 themed parks at Disneyland when we went there in 2010, which were the Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland and the Main Street USA. I heard that they already have 7 themed parks for now. Feel like visit again..lol

We quickly secured a nice spot upon hearing the announcement had been made. Every night, there will be fireworks at the Sleeping Beauty Castle which will be synchronized with Disney's classical songs such as A Whole New World, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland. I wished I had taken a video instead ><
