Esther's Food Search | Aether Cafe, Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI)

I always love weekends, not only because it is a non-working day but also an opportunity for me to explore good food and cool hang-out places with my loved ones. I personally feel blessed to live in Malaysia. If you mention food in Malaysia, the list here is forever endless~

For this entry, since it is my first ever food post, I need to justify that I am not a food blogger. Hence, I will not set any standards towards the food I have tried. I just want to share with readers the places I have been to and voice out my personal opinions regarding the food or service. Everyone has their own personal preferences and guidelines when it comes to food. I am fully awared of that. So, just take my opinion as reference and enjoy reading my blog~

The cafe I am going to introduce today is called "Aether Cafe." Nestled within the Pusat Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun in TTDI, it is quite impossible for hungry passers-by to notice this cafe from outside. But no worries, just search "Aether Cafe (TTDI)" on your Waze app and you will be able to locate it. Once you reach the guardhouse of Pusat Kanak-kanak, just inform the guards that you are heading to this cafe and they will allow you in. I was wondering at first, why would someone open a cafe in such "unseen location" far from the bustling city streets. I gazed through the Aether Cafe's vision stand and found out that the cafe aims to provide a more calm and less crowded environment for its customers to enjoy their time and meals over there. True that, many cafes nowadays are always packed with patrons especially during the peak hours and I find it hard to find ample tables. Not to mention about the noise level amplified from a packed cafe.

Aether Cafe has a very simple, straightforward menu. We followed the staff's recommendation and ordered their red velvet waffle with vanilla ice cream, chicken and potato sandwich and also their signature apple stack dessert. The apple stack dessert is actually quite creative in my opinion. They will cut the apple into several layers, apply each layer with peanut butter jam and piled them back into an original apple shape again. I am a "no-fruits" type of girl. I fancy nothing but only strawberries. But an apple with such appealing formation has tricked me into eating it XD

For drinks, we have ordered their Americano and also one of their signature drinks, the "Rainbow Shots." The Rainbow Shots consist of 6 different types of fresh juices presented in 6 test tubes. Anti-clockwise from left, green apple juice, watermelon juice, orange juice, carrot juice, mango juice and dragonfruit juice. As I mentioned, fruits and juices are really not my type. But juices presented in such cool way are really irresistible.

After we have done eating, we strolled around the Pusat Kanak-kanak and have my OOTD shots taken~ Pink top from Tapas Butik with black leather skirt. Chunky shoes from Jin Hayari.

Really love the bow design at the back of the pink top.
